🏆 Playoff Rules & Expectations

Rules

• All regular season rules apply
• Coaching is allowed (same as regular season)
• Referees can be called during games
  
  

Game Play

• Playoffs will consist of 3 rounds (instead of 4 in the regular season)
• Players may be rotated between rounds, but cannot play the same opponent twice
• If the match ends in a tie in points, one final game will be played
• Each team may choose any player who has participated that night to play in the final tie-breaker match
• If the 8-ball is knocked in by hand, clothing, or equipment → loss of game
• Games will be played on Tables 1 and 2
• If Table 1 or 2 becomes free, Table 1 or 2 may be used to help speed up play
• If a team does not have enough players:
  • They may choose to forfeit, or
  • Continue playing and accept a 10–0 loss for each missing player’s games
    
    

Spares

• Spares may only be used if a player is unable to attend their scheduled games for the night
• Must be approved by a board member
• Must come from the Monday or Tuesday spare list
• Must have an average equal to or lower than the player they are replacing
• Failure to get board approval for a spare will result in disqualification
  
  

Handicaps

• Handicaps are locked for playoffs
• Your final season handicap will be used throughout and will not change
  
  

Lineups

• Lineups can be changed before each round
• No changes allowed during a round
• Opposing team must be notified of any lineup changes
• Opposing team must be given the chance to adjust their lineup
• Failure to notify or making changes during a round will result in disqualification
